I Want Cake and Ice Cream

Hi guys.I once had a most heavenly slice of cake that had some sort of nut in it.I asked the baker of the cake for the recipe but its been months and she has not given it to me The nuts were grinded into the cake.They were not visible.I think she probably used nutpowder or something.
Does anyone have a recipe for cake that includes nuts and if it helps any,the cake had a layer of strawberry jam at the middle.Like a Victorian.
